If no-

Humana updates benefits yearly so plans stay valuable and affordable. This includes the OTC Health & Wellness monthly benefit. For more information on your benefit allowance, check your evidence of coverage or your annual change notification. How much will my drugs cost at Humana Pharmacy?

The cost of your drugs depends on the structure of your pharmacy benefits with your Humana health plan. When you order a prescription, you receive the estimated price. The actual cost is determined when your prescription request is processed. The cost is based on your pharmacy benefits, the specific quantity, strength and dosage of the drug.

How do I order over-the-counter (OTC) supplies?

If your insurance plan includes a health and wellness benefit, you can order supplies by going to "Shop Supplies" after you sign in to your Humana Pharmacy account. Select the supply you'd like to order and your health and wellness credit will be applied at checkout.

Can I get a 90-day supply of my medicine?

Most maintenance medicine at Humana Pharmacy is dispensed as a 90-day supply. Some exclusions include schedule II controlled substances, such  as hydrocodone. 

For specialty medicine: Due to the cost and care management required for specialty medicine, our specialty pharmacy dispenses medicine only in a 30-day supply.

How do I register for Humana Pharmacy?

To start filling a prescription at Humana Pharmacy, choose one of these options: 

  • Online: Sign in or register online using your MyHumana username and password. 
  • Mobile app: Download our free mobile app and sign in using your MyHumana username and password. Select “Switch Rx” from the dashboard. 
  • Phone: Contact our pharmacy and we will reach out to your doctor to request the prescriptions you want to fill at Humana Pharmacy. 
  • Ask your Doctor: Your doctor can send your prescription(s) electronically (ePrescribe) or by phone or fax. If you are taking a specialty medicine, please make sure that your doctor sends your prescription to our specialty pharmacy.

How should I ask my doctor to write my prescription for Humana Pharmacy?

If you’re a new member, or need your medicine right away, you can ask your doctor to write 2 prescriptions: 

  1. One prescription for a 30-day supply that you can fill at a local retail pharmacy.  
  2. A second prescription for a 90-day supply that the doctor can send directly to Humana Pharmacy.

Can I get less than a 90-day supply at Humana Pharmacy?

To get cost savings at Humana Pharmacy, most of your maintenance medicine prescriptions need to be filled for a 90-day supply. If, however, you want us only to fill a 30-day supply of your prescription, please contact our pharmacy before ordering a new prescription or refilling a current prescription.
